welcome to the forum. i normaly dont like ornamants in tanks but i have to admit this one looks good :good:

just wandering have you cycled the filter? or obtained mature filter media from somewhere? 2 weeks seems a little fast for a new filter

im doin a fish in cycle which is risky i no, but ive been told everything looks good

The 'albino scavenger' is a corydoras, and there are two problems with having it in your tank; one is that it needs to be with a group of at least six of it's own kind, which would leave you very, very overstocked, and secondly they get too big, at three inches, to be kept in an Edge; sorry.

I can't see it exactly what species of plec it is, but there are no plecs that stay small enough for an Edge.

You really need to get your own test kits so you can monitor the water quality; until you can get some (for ammonia and nitrite) you should do a 50% water change every day.

Sorry to be so negative...

i did bring that up wen i spoke to then guy wen buy and he sed it would be ok, i have a test kit and doin checks every day

at some point i want to go bigger, but i dont want to throw loads of money at a hobbies that in 6 months i carnt get on with

I'm afraid lots of people in fish shops will say anything to make a sale, but he is wrong.

Excellent :D Remember never to let the ammonia or nitrite go above 0.25ppm

Fair enough; in that case, take the cory and the plec back to the shop, and buy some more when you have a suitable sized tank :good:
