I came to the forums to identify a strange fish i came across and was overwhelmed by the amount of help i received. The fish, by the way, turned out to be a "Sailfin Shark" Labiobarbus festivus. I have a 75 gal community tank which started as a 45 gal a few years ago and will turn into a larger one as the fish growth deems necessary. I run my aquariums "old school" without the use of any filtration which requires replacement packs. It has two undergravel filters with separate powerheads and and a 3rd powerhead with a foam filter. My wifey and kids picked out lots of tacky plastic plants and I installed lots of fake structure and caves as several of my fish are nocturnal in nature. I do a 50% water changes every 2 months in 4 stages by cleaning roughly a quarter of the substrate during each stage separated by 2 days undisturbed recovery time. The water stays clear and levels are constant. The tank is full but I did pay attention to preferred swimming levels and so all fish seem to have plenty of room at the moment and most wink and smile as they swim by.

Here's what I got:

2) Leopard Ctenopoma / spotted climbing perch thingies
(ctenopoma acutirostre)

6) African Red-eyed Tetra
(arnoldichthys spilopterus)

2)Red-tailed Tinfoil Barb (the smaller of the 2 kinds)
(barbonymus altus)
-AND-
3)Silver Dollar
(metynnis hypsauchen)
which school together. The dollars seem to slow down the barbs a bit and the barbs keep the dollars moving.

6)Clown Loach
(chromobotia Mac acanthus)

2)Striped Raphael Catfish
(platydoras co status)

1)Featherfin Catfish
(synodontis eupterus)

1)Rubber Lipped Pleco
(chaetostoma cf )

4)Gourami
(trichogaster trichopterus)

1)Siamese Algae Eater
(crossocheilus siamensis)

1)Sailfin Shark
(labiobarbus festivus)

1)Black Ghost Knife
(apteronotus albatross)
