Hi all! I have a Roma 200, gravel substrate, some planting and bogwood and a PH of around 7.5.
I currently have 6 very small six banded barbs which have been in nearly 2 weeks and the readings have all stayed good, no spikes in any readings so all good.
Anyway, I originally planned on having another 2 groups of six barbs, Rhombo and Cherry or checkered perhaps but after a visit to my LFS I was quite taken with Rummy nose tetras and Redline Torpedo Barbs.
Now after a bit of research I realise the torpedo will get too big but will the rummys go okay with the barbs I have and if I got 6 could I still get another 6 rhombo barbs perhaps?
With 18 of the above fish, what kind of quantities of other fish could I get ?
I originally wanted Cory's but after reading up on zebra loaches I fancy 5 of those, a couple of Bolivian Rams (or Apisto Catacoides) and really wanted a Ruby shark for my son (but I know that may not be a goer either!)
I am open to suggestions and advice as I want to do things right!
Forget to add I am currently running a Fluval 3 Plus internal filter but will be pushing the button on an external when I make my mind up! Currently a Tetratec ex1200, APS 2000LH with UV or a Eheim classic 2217 are on the list !
