Soon to have in my possession an Aquatropic 80 (~110L) and was wondering if I can have plants in this?
And I mean a few plants here and there, not half a tank full kinda thing.
if so CO2 or non CO2? What's best for new starter?

Hopefully I can hunt down an idiot friendly step by step How-To guide based on responses :)

edit - plant amounts

You definately can, as for CO2 that would depend on your budget and lighting constraints :good:

for planted tanks, I would recommend Diana Walstad's book (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Ecology-Planted-Aquarium-Diana-Walstad/dp/0967377315/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1320324393&sr=8-1) as vital reading material, it explains a lot of concepts even if you don't plan to use her style of planting.

Personally, I would start without CO2, go with hardy, friendly plants (java ferns, mosses, amazon swords, vallis etc) so see how you enjoy it :)

yes i would recommend a low tech setup as well. ie, low lighting, some very low light requirement plants (anubias etc)and take it from there.

Its all balance. If you can get the balance right, your on your way.
