hey i was wonderin wha kinda fish follow these guidlines:

stay relatively small
can be kept in groups of 5-8
are compatible w/ angels
mid-water swimmers (cause i believe the angels occupy the top)
DONT NIP AT FINS

iv been lookin around, but if someone out there could just throw out names so i can look more into them. id like somthin kinda colourful too but mostly just an interestin lookin fish.

if u hav any suggestions just add them ill do the research on top of these suggestions. thanks!

Zebra Danios can be fin nippers, usually only amongs themselves, but they have been known to nip others.

Any kind of large tetra - penguins, congo, rummynose etc. Or things like dwarf cichlids - apistos, kribensis, rams etc.

It depends alot on what type of victum fish we are talking about here- even tetras like neons are known to nip the long flowing fins of the male betta.

If you want some realy super peaceful fish, i suggest you go for corys like peppered, albino, bronze, panda or similar types of types of corys- none of them exceeds 3inchs and they need to be kept in groups of 3-5 and fed catfish pelets or algae wafers every now and then to supliment their diet  .

I've only had experience with a very few species, but there is not a notorious fin nipper in any of the rasbora species at all. Not quite biotope since most rasboras are Asian and the angels are South American, but fits your criterea

rams are non nipping? iv heard they can be agressive.

rams are only aggresive when breeding :)

White Clouds? Angels wouldn't eat those, right? -_-

Likely.

In my experience most of the fin nippers only cause problems when kept in too small a shoal, or too small a tank. What are the dimensions of yours?

Rams are aggessive when breeding, but the aggression is territorial. Because they are bottom dwellers and Angels are mid dwellers (they spend a lot of time at the top when we're around, hoping to be fed) they will work well together - as long as the tank is big enough. If you're looking for a nice peaceful community then I highly recommend keeping the Angels as the only cichlids in the tank.

Basically you're looking for smaller shoaling fish that won't be seen as food by the Angels. Long narrow fish (white clouds, neons, etc) are more easily consumed and should be avoided.

There are many smallish tetra's that will work. Look for one with a tall, laterally compressed body. Lemon, glass, rosy, and phantom tetras are good examples of species that will be ignored and ignore. Many rasbora's will work as well, and hatchetfish. All of these shoalers will do better if you give them more numbers. It's always best to go with less species in larger groups.

As far as bottom dwellers, the Angel can go with anything that will leave them alone - the choice is yours.
