Hi I have an Eal that only will come out from the gravel @ night how do I know if it is getting food? if I come into the room even with the lights out all I see is a bad dash and he is under ground. During the day I can see him because he always keeps his eyes out of the gravel but food can land right on him and he doesnt take it. I knew this was a nocturnal fish but I was planning on some activity in early am. before the lights went on.
