Wow! Thought I would try breeding some fish for the fist time so I got some Guppys.

I Chose 2 Males from the 'Male Gupy' tank at the LFS and 6 Females from teh 'Female' tank

That was yesterday, today I have 12 Fry! This breeding lark is easy!

I imagine that there is a lone male (the luckiest male guppy in the world) in the Female tank at the LFS.

yeah guppies are easy to breed especially if they where many males and females.

Female livebearers can store sperm and have a few pregnancies without needing any help from a male after the initial contact so that's possibly how it happened. I had the same kind of experience with my platies, bought them one day and had fry the next - incredible :d:D:D

Have you put them in a floating trap or just hoping they survive in open?

It's good to get some Liquifry No2 in there and then crushed flakes/ baby brshrimp if possible.

(Was it Betta@Byker where you got them?)

Ive been curshing up some catfish pellets in to a powder that I got for my Redclaws but all my fish seem to love. They seem to be doing well.
