My tank seemed to settle down within a couple of weeks......60ltr tank that you guys is overstocked. 2 angels, 3 mollies, 4 guppies, 3 small goldie things, 2 algae eters, 3 neons.

I havnt changed the water for 2 weeks now, tested it the other days and everythings fine. Shud i still change it?

Yes. Water changes are a vital lifeline for your fish. Even when your tests all come back with perfect results, that is by no means conclusive. There are many things which get into the water which you can't test for with proprietary test kits, and as such water changes should be performed regardless of test results.

I recommend that you should change 30% of the water weekly to begin with, and see how you get on.

Cheers :good:

It's up to you, if nothing has risen massively, and the KH hasn't dropped too far then there is no real need for a water change at all.

I would be wary of going more than 4 weeks without a change, but 2 or so weeks will be fine so long as the levels aren't changing too far from your tap water.

i personally change 25-35% of water weekly, regardless of the test results being good.

Our small 35l tank in my sons room was showing good water stats but still did a water change this week and the water that i took out looked quite dirty so i think it must still be a benefit to the tank to change the water....
