No Heat, Ill Fish!

Hi, I have a tropical fish and a Pleco. I noticed this afternoon that the heater plug had been knocked out for about a day. The water is pretty cool and my rainbow fish looks very ill and doesnt hardly move.

I have put the heater back on, will my fish survive??

I think it should be ok, just keep an eye on it, it's actually better that your heater was off, rather than turned up to maximum temp. It may have been alot more serious.

Sadly it sounds like the temp droped fast and the fish has gone into shock, plug it back in but raise it gradually, watch out for whitespot,columnaris and swim bladder problems, good luck.

Rainbow fish died, Pleco still alive and well. They are strong fish.
