Nitrites Are Annoying Me!

im doing a fishless cycle atm and its been goin bout a week and my ammonia is going from 5ppm to 0ppm in about 8 hours but my nitrites have been off the scale for about 6 days now and there not comming down. The problem is im going away from a week next week and if i dont get fish in there soon i will have to start the whole thing again is there anthing i can do to speed up the process?

Your going away when your tank is new?

Add your fish when you get back, you may need to re-cycle, IMO

NO. Have you raised temp? That helps.
If it's not cycled b4 you go away your scuppered im afraid and will have to start again when you get back unless you can find an extremely reliable fried to do it for you. Dont be tempted to add fish b4 finishing thou. They may well die
