with all the water changeing to get the nitrite down is it like cyceling the filter with the fish in the tankis it like doing a fishless cycel ore when you a fish tank cycel

Sorry I don't understand what your asking tbh but if you have fish in and you gave a nitrite spike then yes you will need to test daily and do big water changes if you are cycling your tank without fish at monent the. Yes continue with fish less cycling I recently had a nitrite spike and took me a week with 80% water changes to fix it and I losta few fish too hope this has helped


On a note if your filter was cycled and your having a nitrite spike the. You need to find what was the cause of this to many fish on one go to much feeding and reduce that, your filter I think will still be cycled but just can't cope with increase in ammonia caused my the bacteria making the ammonia
