Nitrite In 3ft Tank

Last 3 days i ahve done constant water changes on the 3ft tank, tonight did a 90% waterchange and still the nitrite reading is 0.50

Cant ubderstand why, only thing thats int he tank is plants and a IAL, any ideas why its so high after all this water changing and why it wont drop..

Checked tap water 0 NItrite, so that rules out the tap water and the kit being dodgy.The plants are water wisteria.

how does checking tapwater for ammonia mean your test kit is ok for nitrite? I dont get that 5teady!

i've had dodgy nitrite readings from having tiny amounts of nitrate test particles in tubes, have you been testing for nitrate recently?

sorry i meant nitrite, and IAL Indian almon leaf, sorry heads in bitz lately

Nitrite one is about 2 weeks, ammonia and nitrate are about 3 months.
