Nitrate & Ammonia

i just did a water test on my newly set up tank (just put fish in today - female betta)got a ammonia reading of 0.25 and nitrate reading of 25. are these ok? if not what can i do to rectify these readings?

its susposto be 0, do a 25 % water change every day till reading are at 0 them test weekly at the 25% water change 1 x a week

your ammonia reading is .25. should be 0, so do a partial water change to get it back to 0. nitrAte of 25 isnt too bad as fish can survive with much higher. im assuming you dont mean nitrIte as this reading would be VERY high. if so, so water changes to get it back down to 0.
