ok i have a pregnant guppy she was swimming tail up in the breeder net and an about an hour ago i noticed that the bottom half of her tail has been nipped off last night i had put her in the main tank for about 40 mins and then put her back so now i put her back in to the main tank and she seems to be acting better would the tail condition cause this to happen

No, it is not likely that would be the cause. She would struggle swimming possibly if a good chunk of the tail is gone, but not swimming tail up. Like I mentioned in the other post, probably swim bladder infection.

now she swims fine in the big tank and she is a split tail and the bottom half is missing but whe n i put her in the breedeer net she swims with her tail up

i would leave her to drop in the main tank as it sound like when she goes into the net shes suffering from a little shock, some fish do this tail up thing for 2 reasons one is shock the other is actual birthing but ive only ever seen this is platys

ok thank you very much i have removed the fish that is nipping the others fins and plan on replacing with a gold fish since these eat all of the nasty stuff

Goldfish are not tropical fish and require different temperature ranges in the water for keeping. Goldfish are cold water fish. While the temperatures can overlap, they really shouldn't for the health of your fish. Goldfish are kept in water too cold for tropicals and tropicals are kept it water too warm for goldfish.

there was a topic about this not to long ago. i belive it said they can live in warmer waters. this is like my pond right now my pond is hotter then my tank my tank is about 82 and my pond is 85 and all the goldfish are fine and are healthy. im not trying to start anything but im just putting this out there.
