My female platy arrived with an already severely nipped fin. Her left pectoral fin is almost non existent and she doesn't swim as well as she should be. All the other fish in the tank (guppies and platys) keep nipping at that fin only and she is getting really stressed about it.
I have a double fish hatchery which is twice the size of most other breeding traps and i attempted to isolate her in there until her fin had repaired somewhat. But she just looked so stressed in there, from being caught aswell so i took her straight back out. The poor girl is now hiding and i feel dreadful. I am only trying to help her but i don't know what to do. Have you guys got an ideas at what i could do? Was i right to try and isolate her? Should i try it again tomorrow?
Thanks
ETA: When i fed them earlier she had a good appetite!!
