Nightmare........*@@%$£ Fish!

Well........we should be on our way to Birmingham now to show our dogs on Sunday at Crufts.........but we're not!!!!

Its been a nightmare 12 hrs.

1. Had to put our little dragon female in a breeding net in the tank as she is refusing to eat. Modaz and lfs reckon internal infection so started "anti-bac" treatment. All she's eaten so far is a glass worm. The Daphnia are bouncing around her net but she's ignoring them at the moment.

2. Had to move our new female out of sorority tank as she has ripped two of the others fins and wont leave them alone. Possibilty that she could be a he Started Melafix treatment to reduce the risk of infection.

3. "Strudel" our VT has got what looks like Oodinium. A bit like white spot but not so pronouced dots. Started Parazoryne treatment.

4. "Taro" our purple BF - Absolutely fine last night. Today his dorsal and anal fins look like they've been put through a mincer!!
We've taken everything out of the tank, coconut shell and quartz rock (although its very smooth). Had to start Melafix as they are pretty bad.

I think thats all??

So we have delayed our journey up. We would rather miss our extra day in crufts if it means saving our fish.

We'll try and get some photos so you can see.

awww i feel ur pain.. im watchin my sorority tank right now.. they were tearin each other up.. everyone was fightin.. now they have calmed down since i spread the live plants out a bit more.... but i have 2 add melafix to they tank to help theyre fins.. poor things look likey had theyre fins chopped up

Sorry to hear you bad news sweet, i must admit that their timing is always spot on - in a bad way. As for your females, do you have any more pics of Midnight? Its just her anal fin looks very sharp,, and the colour on the fins...dunno just looks maleish

Thanks guys. The van is all loaded and ready to go but we have now cancelled our reservation for tonight and will travel up later tomorrow. The sorority tank was very peaceful before Storm arrived and then all hell broke loose. Now that we have removed her it is all quiet again.

Storm is defo a female but i'm not too sure on Midnight looks very PK male to me, could be wrong, blue_betta will tell ya if i'm wrong lol. Hope every thing is ok for you going tomorrow. I've cancelled Agility shows before cos of my fish or ended up travellin through the night to make it for the first class...the things out betta put us through eh, gotta love um tho

She certainly lives up to her name Got a male on hold for her once we're sure she's a she and he will be Thunder

Thanks for that. Storm is now in a divided tank next to our dragon male to see if she shows any breeding bars or just wants to kill him. Midnight is still in with the other girls and all is really calm in there.

BTW....what dogs to you do agility with?

Got myself a few Border Collies - blue mearls, and just got a new pup with lovely long legs. I don't do alot now, not like i used to. I have been to crufts in my prime time, when i was 16 and junior champ. I lost my real passion for it when i lost my Koy - the dog i made champ with.

What dogs do you show? or are you an agility nut too?

Hi Yes we are agility nuts too. 5 out of our 6 dogs compete at agility and 2 of them we breed show which is why we're going up to Crufts this weekend. Have you ever heard of Popsy Wopsy Doodle Chop . Also we are members of Roseland Dog Training Club. It's a small world isn't it!!!

OMG i know quite abit about roseland well i used to lol, I used to train with Lower Eastcott Agility but that was many years ago now i go every now and then but will get right back into it when my Marlee Farlee is old enough, the others are gettin on in years. LOL i love your dogs name, its so cute, My main boy and my first was shelleys one and only my second in command was Izzy Wizzy Gone just we then have Bella Rasheena, and erm jumping gyp flash lol . What are your agility dogs then, what breed?

roseland sounds familiar. where is it based? i don't know a huge amount about showing dogs but i used to go to some shows with my grandparents when i was younger. they used to breed and show Labrador retrievers.

Awww they are lovely, wish i had some pics of mine on here now to show you, My Scampi doodle bug is a border terrier cross he never grasped it tho. I wish you the best of luck for your show tomorrow, hope you can control your pre show nerves, i never can lol
