I currently have the fish listed in my signature in a 20 US gallon tank (14" tall). I'd like to get 1 or 2 fish to be middle swimming "showcases" but I can't decide what to get. The fish that I really want have been ruled out because the tank is too small (angelfish and elephant nose).
The tank is cycled and I'm currently battling ich on my danios so I won't be adding anything else at anytime soon, but I wanted to take this time to dream and plan for my next and probably last additions.
My boyfriend likes colorful fish (he's happy with just the neons) but I like more interesting fish. Something with some personality and interesting characteristics. For example, I like angelfish because they seem so elegant and are such a different shape than classical tropical fish. The elephant nose I love because of their shape and behavior. Hopefully I can eventually convince him to let me add another tank that I can house the larger fishies in!
