Newts and filtration?

What is the best type of filtration to use in a tank that you want to house a couple of red bellied newts?
Still wondering what others do about filtration for their newts.

Anyone?

Are you concerned that they will get stuck in the filter or are you just looking for ideas on what others that have newts are doing? What size tank and what type of needs do they have?

I live in the USA and I was also wondering what I should do to be accomidate my newt. I have a Japanese Fire Belly Newt.

We have a chopped down undergravel filter, from petcetra it has the carbon and filter thread up top, with the two pipey thingys I think it works fine the newts aren't as effected by the water as they just get out if they wanna, (i'm assumeing a little bit very little research just my own expierince) they stay on the rocks mostly so keep those clean and if it's a community tank, just whatever you usein for the fishes, and leave the gravel clean they arent in the water to often so i wouldn't go high quality, not suggesting ug filter just saying i use it, they really aren't that good just cheap

I have an ac mini in my newt tank..
Hi there! How do you have any land set up for the newt if you are using an Aqua-Clear Mini and have a betta in with it? As far as everything I've read it says that Newts must have a place to get out of the water.
