i got her about a week ago, shes not looking well, she eats but she stays at the bottom of the tank and the top ocationally swimming, i thought it would be bacterial untill i saw this large red internal gash on her stimach and rib area, could she have eaten something that punctured her stomach causing her to bleed outwards, i see 2 red blotches kinda small but like o <-- that big lightly red, she was NOT like this before

She has a bacterial infection, they lay to one side at the bottom of the tank, or spend time at the top dropping down to the bottom again, has she caught herself on something in the tank, she dosn't sound good, if there any red patfches on the tummy too it septicemia, can you look at the tummy to see if you can see any worms there.

it look bacterial, it just doesnt seem that way just red blots

thanks i do belive its Septicaemia so ill be trating with maracyn two asap

Maracyn one and two, good luck, septicemia is very hard to cure once it has progressed.

it doent seem TOO bad it may have d eveloped lst night or so(the blotches) and it is within guarentee that if the fish dies it will be replaced, just gotta find that recipt...

ha! good luck?! lol she croaked the mornin after treatment... :-( she swam in spirals like a damaged airplane twards the gravel.... sunbursts have never lived life well in my tank, no other casualties of her death have occoured the babies remain unharmed a $1.50 loss but oh well

Sorry R.I.P. I could never keep livebearers long there no go in them, if you really want to keep them try and find a good breeder as the store ones are no good.
