:/ I just put ten more pounds of gravel in my tank and these little slug looking things are everywhere now I can see them on the glass. I washed the gravel with hot water before I put it in the tank, so I don't know. Maybe it was something in the sink. The guppies look fine, but the little slugs are so small they could be getting on them and I wouldn't be able to see them. There are also a couple of snails in the tank, but the little critters seem to get out of the way before they can get to them. Any input would be great. If I'm putting this post in the wrong place maybe I can be directed in the right direction.
Thanks in advance

:/ Hi Gavmoore23
They really do look like small slugs or leaches with about the same coloration as a ordinary garden slug. They crawl around on the glass kind of in groups. There seems to be more of them now. It' been about three days since I put the gravel in the tank. I'm thinking of just cleaning them off of the glass. That would knock down the population, but I don't think that would get rid of them.
What do you think?

Sunee,

I'm new here also, but I read a hint on another forum that might or might not work. The specific one was for snails and it was to put a weekend feeder in the tank. The snails would all gather on the weekend feeder and then it could be pulled out and they could be disposed of or smushed to become fishie food. Not sure if it will or won't work for slugs, but it might be worth a try.

Good luck!
