Hi, I have recently acquired 2 breeding angel fish, a couple of weeks ago they laid some eggs on my filter which I removed and put into a separate tank to try and raise them. Sadly they did not make it past the wriggler stage.
Today they laid more eggs and again they have laid on my stingray filter which I bought to replace the one they used originally and I cannot remove this filter! The angelfish are in a communal tank with a red tail shark, 5 tetras and 3 tiger stripes. Any suggestions as to what I can do?
Thanks

Hi and welcome to the forum :)

It's common for cichlids to eat the eggs and fry a few times when they first start breeding. This is normally caused by fish that were artificially reared instead of being raised by their parents. Give them some time and most pairs work it out after 4 or 5 attempts.
