Your tank looks awesome! I really like the way that you chose to set it up.

I just have two questions. What size tank is it? Also, what exact fish do you have in the tank? I am asking because I think the Goldfish will get too big for that tank, depending on what size it is. I bet the Danios are loving it though. :good:

Lovely tank but as already said the Shubunkins (I think that's what they are) grow between 8" - 12" and juveniles require a minimum 15g tank on their own (30g once adult). If you're planning on moving to tropical see if you can exchange them or find a pond for them :)

Yeah I'm happy how the tank turned out looks better than I thought it would. It's a 60 litre marina tank with marina filter I also have an air pump in there. The tank was originally set up for tropical but my girlfriend didn't want my older smaller tank running aswell and I couldn't fis a home for out shubumpkin so we decides to put it in this tank, but as a newbie I took advice from the first place I went to which said I could have the fish I have in there now ( 3 shubumpkins, 11 white clouded minnows and 8 zebra danios) but after joining and reading up on here I've realised I have been men to the poor fish and over stocking!! I am indeed trying to look for homes for them but my girlfriend isn't happy as she spent £15 for the fish lol. I do want to start tropical soon though and will be getting my advice from people on here because the help is much more vast and people on here want to look after the fish not just sell them! Cheers though guys :)

Glad to see you've realised there's a issue and are actively trying to resolve it :good:

Try and find someone with a pond for the Shubunkins as they are a pond fish and shouldn't be kept in aquariums but the others could possibly be returned to the place you got them? You never know, they may even allow you an exchange?

I liked the tank but after addi g new plants it didn't look right so I had to re-arrange to this...

What you think? :)

A black background would make the world of difference :)

i agree, i recently added an old wall scroll behind mind just to keep cords out of sight. still debating on black or blue for a real background for my own tank

I will have to agree a dark background to hide wires and make the filter a lot less noticeable is a must! As I am new to all this and still learning I appritiate the help :)
Only problem is its so addictive!! I'm always wanting to add or move something :D

I have to fight that everyday lol. or going to the biggest petco around here...i always find something kinda rare its so hard not to buy.

I've also been trying to narrow purchases down to, is it going to greatly benefit my tank? or is it something that can wait till later?

I started with a 13 ltr tank! Bad I no but it was all my girlfriend would let me but it was far to small so I managed to swap my Xbox for my 2ft tank :D she wasn't happy but she soon brought fish for it lol. But she hates that I'm always in here reading stuff or popping into fish shops after our food shop! I'm trying to rehome my shubumpkins so I can go subtropical but she won't be impressed at all :D

Had to re-arrange the rocks as a danio kept getting stuck :( he's ok now though :)
