Hi I'm new to fish keeping...I've got a 30ltr biorb, I don't have problems with water quality, but I can't seem to keep it clean! I've just changed the filer today and the amount of muck that came out when I lifted it was incredible! I had to take nearly all the water out to remove debris, but it's still filthy... I was reading treads about converting to a sand and different filter system, what would be the best way to do this and which filter? Would it be easier to keep clean? The media is a pain..

I currently have 1 guppy, 4 neon, a small shark and 3 snails as well as live plants..

Any help would be hugely appreciated!

what type of shark do you have? what filter are you currently using? how often do you do water changes?

Hi there...

He's an albino shark, I'm aware he will outgrow the tank at some point

I'm doing a 20% water change nearly every week, the filter is just the normal one for the biorb
