Hi I'm a newbie in Tampa Florida

Found you all when my deskmate, "Kit" nearly died on December 21, 2006 but never got to post my questions. I will try to find the appropriate place to post that after my intro here.

Proud human and deskmate of "kit" short for sKITtish since February 06. He lives in a 1 gallon tank with an airstone, no filter, nothing on the bottom and one silk plant said to be a betta's favorite. sort of curly and he hangs out in the curled under parts.

He has tons of personality and I swear sometimes he wants me to play with him like a dog does. But what toys would that be for a fish? He also ignores me. He'll go off to the back of the tank and put his back to me. This is different from when he just rests in his plant.

I worked on teaching him the different food containers and how that food will react as I think he does not see very well. It appears to have worked, but perhaps that is just so *I* can claim to be that clever? :)

well, off to find where to post Kit's traumatic adventure to see what I should have done vs. what I did do. But the end result is, he is alive and back on my desk at work and that makes for a happy human!

Thanks for being here.

thanks for forgiving me.
