I guess I can start with my formal intro- I have been a fish keeper since the early 80's. I've kept everything from Discus, to Tetras to live bearers to large Central American Cichids.

I currently have an array of tanks, my pride and joy is my 55 gallon with African Ciclids of various Mbuna and Haps (Peacocks) and alot of babies!!!

I recently started a 5 1/2 gallon tank with 2 Green spotted puffers. Can't wait to set them up in 20 gallon after I transfer a few of my smaller Africans into a new 29 gallon I plan on starting.

I am not new to the fish world, been a good 25 yrs of fish keeping and love it!!

Very nice site

Welcome to the forum. :hi:

It's always nice to have another expert come along to share their experiences and help others. I think you will like it here.

I can't say I am an expert, but I have had alot of experience in keeping all sorts of fish for years. I recently lost a beautiful Jewel I had for over 6 yrs.

My background with fish started when I began to work at a Pet Store for years..........on and off part time. I also became very spoiled having local Tropical Fish wholesalers to my disposal. Just too bad today I don't

So knowing about them from keeping them to sustaining them in healthy tanks in a store level made me learn more about the kinds that I have never kept.

So I do hope I can be of help if need be. :D

I would love to work at a fish store or a pet store although I don't care for reptiles. Even thought about getting into the fish thing when I retire. There is a small store near me that a guy runs in his spare time. He is only open 4 days a week. His tanks are always clean and I don't worry about getting sick fosh from him.

It was fun but it becomes more addicting for one being able to buy fish at cost. Then being able to go to a wholesaler/importer and pick the best pick out of a tank of multiples.

And just being able to buy them a third less then the retail prices, and also buying my tanks and everything for cost as well.

Not anymore, so I am like the rest of you all  Take a while to find just the right ones

But my baby fish will eventually have to go giving me some more room even though it will be hard to give them to a store.
