Hi all, just been given a perfect condition biorb life 60 which will go great in my sitting room but everything I read about them is bad when it comes to fishkeeping so am considering using it for shrimps and snails only.
I intend to do away with the stock filter so that I can use sand as the substrate and fit an aquaball higher up out of the way for filtration.
Has anyone successfully used a biorb life for shrimps.

yeah that's way too small for any fish. shrimp would be great. just throw in some sand, some moss plant and your shrimp may even breed in your tank.

Thanks for that.
Now I just have to decide on which filter to use, I am currently being swayed towards the fluval u2 but am unsure what to do with the original airstone as although I will be removing the bubble tube and using sand on the floor, I think it may look good with the flow turned down but still allowing some bubbles from the original airstone as I have a non standard pump with adjustable flow or would this upset the shrimp.
