HI everyone, ive got a juwel rio 180 which was used by the previous owner for marine fish, i however have for the moment got my 2 3.5 year old goldfish in it,(was going for tropical but felt guilty as ive had the goldfish in a small tank for years so now letting them be free(almost).

My question here is about lighting cos at present i have a marine blue lamp and a normal white/yellow lamp fitted to aqaurium hood, my fish do not like this turned on cos it is just too bright for them(they hide under the filter when its on) so what sort of lighting should i go for bearing in mind that one day i will be going tropical.

just in case u need to know- they are tube strip lights fitted at present

Just take them out and get a basic tube that fits the lengh and fittings :) for your set up id aim for around 1WPG (Thats 1 watt of lighting for every 1 gallon of water in the tank).

ok thanks will head to the fish shop this weekend and ask about it,

To bring the colours out in your fish, combine an Arcadia Freshwater with an Arcadia Original.

If you want just the one bulb, then get just the Arcadia Original on its own or a Colourmax if you can...
