[Platy~boi~27]

I've got 3 platies and a medium sized bushy plant in a 5 gal.tank. am i overstocked? What else can i put in?

Hi Platy~boi~27! Unfortunately, a 5 gallon is a very small tank -- so I say you're stocked fish-wise. You can add a couple of shrimp though.

NO plec you cannot keep a plec in a 5g as far as i know! not even while it's little.

Can they go in fresh water?
What kind of shrimp?
How big are they?
How much canadian $$$$ do they cost?

yes some can go in fresh water but some are more suited to brackish set-ups.

ghost shrimp/ anamo shrimp would be what i would reccommend.

max i'd say i think they get 2 inches but i'm not sure.

i don't know how much they are in canada you'll have to find out for yourself.
