hi im new to this hobbly and i have just got a 60lt tank which i want to be a tropical comunity aquriam how do i start of can i put tap water in i no i will need to de clorieize the water but then wat fish should i buy to start of i would like a good mix of fish so can any body help me thanks crag

Welcome to the wonferful world of fish-keeping I think DTH said it best ->> cycle your tank and read up on the fundamentals. You've gota 15g tank and there are several fish that are a little different from the "usual" that you can have... Good luck

Platies, swordtails, and guppies are all pretty, come in various colors, and fit in well in a community tank.

You're probably thinking of plecos. They are a type of catfish. Here's a link to the species that stay small, which you'll want for your sized tank.

Oh, what ever you do, stay away from chinese or siamese algae eaters, these are often sold as "great algae eaters" to unsuspecting fish keepers. They get quite large and aggressive, and will only eat alage as juveniles. As adults they'll often attach to your other fish and create sores and ulcers.
