Newbie on plants need info

I'm currently new to all this aquatic hobby and I was thinking on adding real plants instead of adding artificial ones. My tank is 5 weeks old and has been cycled, I was wondering if anybody knows a website for me to read or if anybody can tell me step by step on having real plants as I wanna do my homework before going to my LFS and purchase. Any help would be greatly appreciated....Thanks

I've just started keeping aquatic plants as well. I recommend reading the pinned topic at the top of this forum from Rose. There's a section of links titled "To get you started MUST READ!". These were really helpful for me. However, I have to say I did a lot more reading than these links, as they kept taking me to more and more interesting links about aquatic plants. I found the whole thing quite confusing (still do to some extent), but those topics were very helpful to get started. HTH~
