Hello, after endless weeks of fishless cycling, my new 150 gallon tank is ready.last week I moved my fish from my old, smaller tank, and they seem very happy with their new home.i currently have:
5 zebra danios
5 platy
1 bala shark
1 drawf gourami

I would like to add:
1 or 2 angel fish
some sunset platy
some more colourful ones.....

Ideas are needed, i would like a bright, colourful, busy tank. I have sand as my substrate, a dark background, a neutral pH. 2x 300W heaters are keeping the temparture to 24C and i'm using a fluval 305 and an aquapro 600.
Thanks for reading!

with 150 gallon I'd be looking at a nice group of rainbows or depending on budget I love denison barbs. I have Angels and I love them but I took alot of coming round and at one point I nearly sold them.

Following my recent purchase, I'd recommend corys to anyone and a group of at least 10 would look stunning

I am def' going to add angels, would they cause any trouble to my zebra danios though? or is it only neon tetras they think are tasty?

I think the bigger issue might be the zebras nipping the angels long fins. The danios will be more than able to out swim the angels. But I still wouldn't do it.

Also bala sharks grow to be huge (14+ inches), what are the dimensions of the tank and should these be kept away from these smaller fish? Personally, I would only keep fish of similar sizes. Getting some big and some small is just asking for trouble.

I'd go with swimmers though as mentioned. For my money a school of medium sized swimmers is more pleasing than one or two giants. Denison barbs with giant danios and some rainbowfish. Cories are a bit small for that group, so I'd go with "emerald cpries". They aren't true corydoras, but actually in the genus brochis. These will grow to a stocky 3+ inches, whereas corys will be 1-2 inches.
