Hi All

I have with the help of my local shop setup a Marine Tank. I got my 70l all setup an running OK the water has been tested and the shop did this form me. And this weekend I got my first 2 fish, 2 Clowns, one is a deep Orange and one is more of a Yellow. Both seem to be swimming round well and eating OK. I am keeping most of the algae off the glass etc in check with 4X Turbo Snails. After reading the forum I think I have the solution to my green algae sand issue which im gonna try out to see if i can get my sand back. But I have a few questions.

What timing is best for the lighting to come on and go off for my timer?

How much and how often should I feed them?
(I work 9 - 5, the food I have got is "King British Marine Fish food")

My tank is 70l and would like some more fish that will be happy with my clowns, what and howmany would be best?
(I have ordered an Anemone which I should be adding to the tank next weekend)

Right a few question as we are a nosey lot

How long has your tank been running?
What sort of flow do you have?
are you running a skimmer?
what lights do you have?
what are your plans?
and can we have some photos pleeeese?

I have my lights on for 12 hours a day, moonlights on till I go to bed.

You need to be feeding your clowns either two small meals a day or once a day
feeding should consist of good marine defrosted frozen food such as mysis, marine mix etc and a good flake or pellet such as new era.

A bit of bad news though, your tank is not mature enough, nor big enough for an anemone. Clowns don't need an anemone to host, they have been known to host such things as long polyped toadstool, hairy mushrooms, xenia, pussy coral, powerheads  , in fact nearly anything!

Just over 2 months while I got the water right.

The bumpf says I got a 4w pump

are you running a skimmer?
A what !!! im still learning.

what lights do you have?
1X 36w lamp

what are your plans?
I always loved clowns from all my diving in th Red Sea so would like to have the clowns as my main stars and have a small eco system running to make the tank look after itself as much as possible so open very much to ideas.

The 1 pic i took tonight will try for better one's later on.

Think i will try for a morning and evening feed. How much food per feeding?
