I've been breeding Betta's off and on for over 40 years but up until 2 & 1/2 years ago I hadn't had any Betta's for 14 years. I ran into this site by Suporn Kumho at blue betta.com (it has since been removed) and I fell in love with them all over again. They have came a long way from the veiltails in the LFS when I was a teen. I had Roundtail and Combtail yellow and "brown", I guess they're chocolate now. The show standard was Roundtail back then. On that site I saw a Black Orchid CT and a Platinum CT I would have given my right something for but settled for a Tri-color Red /White and Turquoise CT male and a dark forest green DT female, Both from Wal mart. Somehow I ended up with Gold and Gold/Red Dragons. If I knew more about genetics I'd know how that happened but luckily I don't or If I was trying for it, it probably would never have happened. I recently came across a male Black Orchid 3 way split or double double ray CT, a Female Black/Red Copper Dragon double double ray CT and a double ray Platinum male CT. I don't like the single ray CT's, They look like they have finrot to me. I hope to be here for any questions I can answer and hope to get some good answers in return. If any body has problems with egg or fry eaters let me know. I can help with it. To see my Betta's go to Golden Betta's 6 topics up and click on the link.
