Hello Im new to this forum. I've noticed already you all seem very knowledgable to the fish keeping hobby. I have a 16 gallon biorb and a 20 gallon tank. In my biorb i have 4 high-finned platies and in my 20 gallon i have platies a molly and two guppies. I feel i've mastered caring for these easy fish. I want to move to the next step, yet not have much moe work to do. I was wondering on a size tank i should buy, specificity as to the aquarium's manufacterer would be great. I would also be interested in what fish options i have for it and what kind i should move to next. Im sort of bored with the livebearers  . thank you for your time. Any information would be great.

depends on a few thigns, do you want to breed anything? an active colourfull community? small fish? large fish? etc.

IM looking for a good biotope tank so i can base the theme on maybe lake in Africa or the Amazon river. I was thinking smal cichlids? or are they to hard for Newbie level. Maybe not large fish yet because all of the lardge fish i can think of need very large tanks and double filtration. Anything you think you would the next step after platies, guppies and mollies. thank you.

The best advice is to get the biggest tank you can afford and have space for. And, of course, a cabinet made to support such a weight. It's much easier to look after a large tank than a small one.

Thank you for your help. Im off to my LFS.
