newbie here looking forward to starting up, but wanted to do as much research as poss before getting started, got a few books and found the forum whilst searching (looks just what i will need to help me)

hope no one gets sick of me coz i will be asking plenty of questions (better to be educated about such things)

Welcome to TFF! You never can ask to many questions. The first think you will wanna do is read the links in my sig below very helpful information. The next think you will want to do is to cycle your tank I suggest you do a fishless cycle easier on you and the fish. You can find the link to that in my sig below. Before beginning the cycle you'll want to get yourself a good liquid test kit most of use here use API master test kit. Make sure you get the liquid test kit and not the strips the strips are pretty inacruate. Any questions just ask away well be more then happy to answer them.
