my plants in my tank have developed a black fur on the leaves i treated this with allgen killer this seemed to have worked but the fur has come back can anyone tell me what it is ,how to prevent it and how to get rid of it for good :good:

first and formost you really shouldnt be adding chemicals to your tank to kill algae
to get rid of algae you need a balance if fish, nutrients, co2, and light
read up on the BACK TO BASICS pinned thread
it gives important info to planted success, and the elimination of algae through this

are you adding any form of carbon?

if not, i guess you do regular water changes? which is not a good thing in a low tech tank as the tap water will contain co2, its these uneven co2 levels that will cause BBA
