Hi everyone,
Names Aaron and i'm 39 and live in Northants.
Am new to fish keeping and have just set up my first aquarium.
Its a Rio 125,planted and its inhabitants at the moment are

3 columbian red tail tetras
2 sunset platys
1 redwag platy
1 crown tail fighter
2 glass shrimp
1 red claw crab

Welcome! Red claw crabs need access to air...most fish stores won't tell you this. They also prefer brackish water and may see your shrimp as lunch. Keep an eye on those Colombians around your Betta, they love to fin nip.

He has access to air.
As for the shrimp being lunch,the crab is a wuss

The little wimp let one of the shrimp take his crab pellet from him the other day.

That's great! I hope no offense was taken, it's just that we get a lot of people on here that are keeping crabs fully aquatic on the advice of their local fish stores. Again, welcome to the forums!
