hello all

I remember my mother having a tank when I was younger, and at the time not really thinking much of it.
now being a little older I wish I had paid more attention.

I did alot of research as to what kind of tank I would need and what kind of fish I would like to keep

after much time and effort I got my tank (70 litre) and now the one thing that I am struggling with is just the water chemistry... more so the nitrite level,

I have now only after sometime found out that it will take time before the tank matures to a suitable level.

At the moment my six danios are doing ok but it could be better

so in the words of "dragon lair".

to see the rainbow you must indure some rain

Welcome
You should get all the help you need with your cycling tank in the forums
Good luck :)

Hello and welcome to the forum. :hi:

About the only thing you can do while cycling with fish is keep up with daily (or as needed) water changes (15 to 25 percent) to try to keep the ammonia and nitrite levels at safer levels (below 1 ppm, preferably .5 ppm) until the tank cycles and the ammonia and nitrite drop to zero where they should be.
