New to all of this. my name is phil im from north yorkshire
having had goldfish from the fair like everyone did and them all dieing i got a big tank from my cousing which i kept some goldfish and koi in. when they all died and i didnt replace them i gave the tank and filter etc to a family member. didnt really think any more of it until i went to my mates house and saw his tropical tank. wanted one again!
got myself a tropical tank just before xmas and started putting fish in after a few weeks
its a 48litre square "fishbox" came with filter, heater, thermometer. pretty much everything to get going
so far in my tank (i aint good with fish names) i have
1x guppy ( i had a few more but they died)
2x Ramms
1x Panda Catfish
2x Yellow Barbs
1x Plec type thing
2x Red Platy's with black tails
i had 2 tetra's but they died within about a week and within a couple of days of each other, they seemed to get white spot after a couple of days but when they died they seemed to of gone furry?!
all the other fish are fine but i think that the red platy's may have the same thing wrong with them, its only new fish that i have put in that i have had any problems with, there is an anti fungus treatment in there and i have put in white spot treatment but it didnt do anything.
any ideas!? ill try get some pics up when i get some of the tank
