Ive been trying to breed Kribs for about 2 months now and nothing seems to be hapening.

My water parameters are:
Ph: 7.5 give or take
Kh: 8
Gh: 5
temperature 25 - 26 Celsius

Tank size 120L (30 US gallon).

At the moment I have 2 male and 4 female Fribensis in the tank. As caves I have 2 terracota pots with a hole in them and also 4 coffee muggs that are on their side.

It seems there are 2 couples that have paired off, they have begun to make nests before and kicked all the substrate out of the muggs (this was before i got the pots) but that was as far as it went. For weeks after nothing any further happend. The Females are "dancing for the males all the time and are always around eachother (never in the pots together tho)

I feed Nutrafin Max flakes and Tetra Prima Granuals twice a day with the occasunal Bloodworm once a week or so.

At this moment i am stuck, I have no idea what to do now cuz waiting clearly didnt work the first time hahaha.

I have been asking around and everybody seems to say that breeding Kribs is easy, so it must be something that I am doing wrong. WHAT SHOULD I DO???

Any help and or Advice would be fantastic

Take 2 of the other females out, the smallest ones. Give the a 15% water change with cooler water. Give them bloodworms every other day. Try to keep your temp closer to 26-27. The females will dance like you said and will pick out a spot for spawning. But if you are going to have them with more than one breeding pairs, get 2 more males. But bewarned if the start spawning they will chase and try to hurt the other fish in the tank. They maybe spawning and eating the eggs right away also. But when the male shows pink on his belly for me that means they will spawn in 1-3 days. Kribs form Monogamous pairs. If you only have one male and female they will breed together. Thats what my pair of Kribs did. And maybe a bigger tank will help the stress of spawning without taking out anyone. I hope I helped!

1st off i wouldnt use coffee mugs or plant pots something more natural is better like coconut caves .... your waters fine for breeding ..... although im a little conserned about your GH as 5 is like omg low .... mine out of the tap is 175ppm and even when going through the r.o unit its still only 70ppm .... at 5ppm your going to be looking at ph fluctuations etc which can kill the fish ..... what tesk kits are you using ????

back to the breeding side ..... get some oak leaves and leave them to dry then add to your tank and in the wild there would be leaf litter all over the floor with stacks of bogwood and roots for them to hide in etc also makes them feel more secure ....... but condition the females on bloodworm works a treat, but also its best not to disturb them as cave spawners they are secretive about it, but raising them water temp by 2-3c also induces them into spawning

im currently breeding 9 different strains of pelvicachromis and the common kribensis is by far the easiest of them to breed .... so get a natural setup going and just leave them to it .... also if you have 2 spare females in there then also remove them as the extra females will distract the pairs from spawning and more towards chassing them off etc

this is one of my breeding tanks for an idea
