Hi, everyone , am new to this but basically am after some advice, have been keeping tropical fish for about a year now and have just ordered a rio 400 to upgrade. I want to continue with tropical but want to have my new tank in marine design as my current tank looks crap. i was thinking of jus having ocean rock inside but unsure what colour gravel would be best and would also like tank to look blue but dont think juwel do blue lights? any help and advice please ,,, much appreciated thanks

To have a marine look, you probably want coral gravel / sand, tufa rock etc (all white), which raise your PH.

I would therefore suggest you keep fish which like this kind of water. eg. malawi cichlids

Malawi cichlids are generally very active and have lots of personality. Very rewarding to keep.

They would love your tank. Rio 400 is a great tank. You'll be in your element. :good:

yeah white will look very nice and realistic :)

good luck and hello :)

There are marine bulbs or rather bulbs intended for a marine tank in the Juwel range. Whoever you are getting your tank from, if its a store/shop they will be able to provide you with the correct lighting for your requirements.
