Whuts the difference between a normal cichlid and a new world cichlid ???

A new world cichlid is a cichlid from central or south america, there are also african cichlids and I believe there are some cichlids from asia

lol there is no such thing as a normal cichlid!!!, new world cichlids are cichlids that come from central and south america, where as at least here rift lake, ravine and madagascan cichlids are under african cichlids.
