New World Cichlids With Angel Fish.

Could I keep fire mouths with angel fish?

My firemouth pestered my Angel to much so I had to move him.

You should be able to have german blue rams or bolivian rams with angelfish, the rams are cichlids and are peaceful.

Oh yes I plan on having rams. They are lovely fish, arnt they. What type of new world cichlids would be able to go with rams and angels?

You can have dwarf cockatoo cichlids, they are fairly peaceful, i have one of those

Would a convict work? What about a blood parrot?

I don't think you could have a convict, the parrot fish is likely to be bullied by other cichlids, you could have keyholes though

3 firemouths
1 pleco
1 green terror


Well this is my other idea

3 angels
2 rams
3 peacock eels
3 rope fish
3 yoyo loaches
1 elephant nose fish
1 bgk
1 pleco of some sort
1 blood parrot

which of my ideas do you like better?

Your second idea is quite good although maybe better without the parrot fish, the rams would be ok with the parrot fish, not sure about the angelfish though as i know parrot fish can be bullied by other cichlids.

Why not change the parrot fish to a keyhole, they would be better to have in my opinion.

I was reading that parrot fish are good with angels but that may be wrong. I like keyholes though.

I was thinking maybe some other type of loach maybe? Or a catfish?

Yo-Yo loaches are awesome. They're always chasing each other around and even my tiger barbs around.

I also love the Spotted Pictus cats, they're beautiful.
