Hi,
I only set up my tank just after christmas and have only had fish in it for a few weeks.
I have 5 Cardinal Tetras, 6 Neons, 2 Red Platy's and 1 Albino Frog. I can't find any info online about Albino Frogs.
If anyone has any tips they will be most welcome. My Frog has already been for a trip around my bedroom once having jumped out of the tank!

Neil

Here is some info on tropical frogs.

Frog info

Welcome to the fiskeeping world.

Keep a close eye on the Tetras; they should really only be added to a matured tank (not the same as a cycled tank).

id keep an eye on your tetras too, not because of the tank conditions, but the frog. The albino frogs aint the same as the african clawed/dwarf frogs. They have a 'chubbier' appearance and get much larger than the dwarf frogs and are likely to see small fish as food!

Hi neilrmcd :)

Welcome to the forum! :hi:

Your frog is an African Clawed Frog (Xenopus laevis) and he will grow large enough to eat every fish in your tank. While they are great pets and live to be 15-20 years old, they should not be kept in a fish tank. One can be kept nicely (without filtration) in a 10 gallon tank.

Like we ask all newcomers to the hobby, "Do you know about cycling the tank?" If not, don't hesitate to ask and the members here will be happy to help you. :D
