New to this section

Hi everyone,

Hopefully this is the correct section to ask my questions . . .

I purchased an 80 gal. tank and will begin setting up this weekend. This will be a brackish tank for my 2 columbian sharks. I am planning on using silver sand as my substrate.

I am unsure of what sort of filtration I will need, and/or skimmer. Would an eheim 2215 be enough filtration? Is a skimmer necessary?

Any advice is appreciated.

The eheim should do the trick.

Just watch your parameters at the beginning.

How big are the sharks?

One shark is 7", the other 5".
