Hi! I just found this forum... believe it or not. I've had at least one aquarium running (if not 5 or more at a time) since I was 11 years old. I am 41 now. :) My first aquarium was an old slate bottom, metal framed 5 gallon aquarium. I did well with that and my dad bought me a 29 gallon for my birthday... the rest was history.

Since then I've kept freshwater tropicals (including discus), freshwater native (NA) and marine tropical aquariums. My largest aquarium ever was 130G, most of them have been in the 45G-55G range. At the moment I am sort of starting from scratch after moving across the country (and having given away all of my aquariums, supplies and fish, including some established live rock - except for a tank of guppies that made the 6 day trip in my car). I am experimenting a bit, trying to push some limits, stuff like that.

Current aquariums (all too small for what I am doing, I know, so please bear with me):

20G high with a single Osphronemus Goramy named "G" (show piece-fish in living room)
Eclipse System 6 with an angel and some guppies (my son's tank)
Eclipse System 3 with guppies that won't stop reproducing (my daughter's tank)
Nano cube 12G, over-planted with one cichlid - may convert to nano/micro-reef. Maybe.

On order and about to arrive, an Aquapod 24G which will be a coldwater/freshwater aquarium.

That's all for now.

Hi! Thanks for the welcome!

Well, more likely than not I will demonstrate how NOT to do things. ;) I am a bit interested in trying to create smaller, survivable environments for FW fish.
