New To The Site

Hey guys,

My names Jordan I recently picked up my new 75 gallon fish tank ( freshwater ) and am at the end of running my cycle. I will soon be picking up my new fish but am still unsure on what to get. I will make a desperate post for that but for the moment would like to take the time and say hi, and hope to learn a lot of new stuff.

Is your tank gonna be a cichlid tank, community or something else entirely?

I did as instructed by my local pet shop. I bought a aquaclear 110 filter and let it run for 3 weeks. Please tell me there is not more I have to do . Also I am not really sure, I would like to get 1 or 2 larger fish and then a school of slightly smaller fish and a bottom dweller of some sort. I am still very unsure as what to get mainly because we don't have a huge selection where I live anyway.

Thanks for the link, but another member already pointed me in that direction. Seems I have to restart and play the waiting game again

It'll be worth it. Fishless cycle is the easiest way I think, it's just as you said the waiting game. See if you can get some mature media off someone or maybe your LFS to kick-start the cycle.
