Greetings all,
I too just stumbled across this forum of great knowledge and advise. Since my 3 and 4 year old boys are highly allergic to many things, we are not able to have traditional pets like dogs, and cats. My sister thought that my boys should at least have fish since they cant have anything else as pets. One day not long ago they go shopping and bring home everything they need to get started, 10 gal. tank, filter, rocks, ect, ect. They get everything setup, and let then proceed to let the tank "cycle" for 2 weeks upon recommendation of the LFS, so far so good, (or so we thought). Next 2 fish were added, a clown loach, and some kind of Tetra (I think), he only survived 3-4 days. Here marks the beginning of my (our) journey into fish keeping. After doing some research and reading, I've discovered that we've made some of the common newbie errors which may have led to the demise of 2 of our fish. I look forward to many hours of reading and asking questions here on this forum, Thanks for reading if you've made it thus far.
Good day all,
