Hey, come for a lesson <.< >.> Ive never kept plants before...

Where im planning to have the plants is in a 10g tank next to a window that gets low light levels. Its going to be a breeding tank. So I thought since i dont have any plastic plants left and the tank looks abit dull (Ive been cylcing this tank for 2 weeks and trying to get it perfect) I could put live plants in there for added health.

The tank is generally under 30C, it has hgih light levels in the morning (can be changed by closing curtain) and during the rest of the day it is low. The tank has driftwood, rocks and sand. My LFS sells plants in a "clump" so i can choose what i want but none of the plants have names on them. What should I plant? What do i have to do/change to care for the plants

Hi Seether

You might want to try dumping your driftwood and going for plants already attached and growing from a bit of bogwood, they look great and as soon as they're planted they root into the substrate. These planted bogwoods can have up to 4 different plants on them, mosses as well. Watch out for algae (especially hair algae) if your tank is lit purely by the sun.

Did you say your barramundi was in a bath tub, he'd probably prefer a tank. Although i'd like to see, got any pics.
