How easy is it to breed kribs?? I m getting some and want to know a little background info from experienced people.

very - good food, water quality and a cave should do the trick once you find a pair.

one should be fine - 2 plenty, they will choose one and clean/dig around it.

Easy to get breeding but it doesnt always result in fry! My pair have laid 3 times now with no fry results, but they are a young pair so I have hopes they will eventually. They also ignore the slate coconut cave I bought for them and dug out a hole under a large piece of slate to lay!

Yeah so what if i get older kribs, that are big

If they haven't bred before, they may not get fry the first couple of tries. You need more than 1 cave. Better 3 or 4, as they can be very picky about where they want to lay. If they don't like the cave options they may not breed.

Can all the caves i provide be of flower pots, or do i have to have a variety of the types of caves

i bought mine from the local supermarket, cut in half scooped out the inside and boiled it for an hour then made a little doorway. was quite impressed with myself lol

Where do i get the coconut caves from??

Got mine for a few pounds on Ebay - theres a guy sells them covered in pieces of slate - looks great!! He does 2 different sizes, a single half coconut and 2 stuck together.

they lay eggs all the time. mine haven't produced any fry yet though but they're young so they are probs going to get it right soon. they have being guarding a cave for the past few days. i would get a few caves and let them choose. mine choose a different one each time. mine are made out of slate. i made some caves by stacking sheets of it on top of each other. i have also used a flowerpot which they tried out within about 5 minutes. no joke. i put it in when i was doing a water change and they where guarding it before i had refilled the tank. try to let them have some privacy and keep away when they have layed eggs. once i was cleaning algae off the rocks and didn't realise they were guarding and the male bit my hand! i would buy them young. when i got mine i got four because they were young and it was impossible to sex them. i have 1 male and 3 females which, really you want a pair, but the male must think he's the lookiest fish in the world lol.

Just picked up my pair of kribs, the female is very pretty and is 2 1/4 inches and the male is 3 inches. I also ordered the coconut from ebay but it is gonna take 2 weeks to arrive.
